Elmbridge Connects is run by the Community Support Services team of Elmbridge Borough Council and provides a platform where residents and those who support them can connect with organisations and services to help improve their wellbeing. Part of this involves working with local voluntary sector, non-profit and charitable organisations to provide a place for people to access information about their services.
We have the following guidelines as to what residents, partners and organisations can expect from Elmbridge Connects.
What we do:
- We will keep our directory up to date with the latest information we have.
- We will ensure that listings are tagged appropriately so they can be found by users searching for relevant information.
- We will promote use of the directory through print media, and the @MyElmbridge and @ElmbridgeCommunitySupport social media channels.
What we don’t do:
- We will not provide any extra information about organisations or activities other than what is shown in the listing. If further information is needed this should be obtained by contacting the relevant organisation.
- While we promote use of the directory, and the ability to use it to find certain information (e.g. details of health support groups), we do not actively promote specific organisations.
- We do not allow listings for commercial organisations. Voluntary, non-profit and charitable organisations which charge a fee are allowed, but private businesses will not be featured in the directory.
What we would ask of organisations:
- We ask that you keep us up to date with any changes to services or contact information that may occur in your organisation. You can fill out the enquiry form to let us know of these changes and we will update your listing as soon as possible.
- Please do promote your service as being part of Elmbridge Connects. You can request a ‘Find us on Elmbridge Connects!’ logo pack to use for your communications.
